Heads of Section
The four original members of the ICH remain part of the organization as Heads of Section. Each individual embodies several archetypes for heroic purposes, and oversees usage of these and any related archetypes within the romance novel industry.

A founding member of the ICH, Lord Hawklencravenbearesfordvilleperegrineton is known to his friends as “Perry.” A staunch defender of the power and status inherent in dashing good looks, a title dating from the Norman conquest, and powerfully polished Hessians, Lord Hawkl’ton is among the most popular of the heroic archetypes. His likeness has been seen in romance novels since the creation of the novel’s current form. Lord Hawkl’ton is the current record holder in number of bodices ripped, and maintains a haughty defense of his ability to seduce any and all mammals in a fifteen-mile radius with merely his eyebrow and his square jawline. Lord Hawkl’ton is also the force behind the ICH’s growing Facebook presence.
Captain Sbloodstreuth
Head of Pirates, Rogues, and Other Scallywags Section

Captain Sbloodstreuth has sailed every virgin sea at least twice, plundered the tender coves and grottos in every land mass, and found welcome in every port around the world. Known for his fatal attractions to slim young cabin boys who inevitably turn out to be aristocratic debs in disguise, his standard is not the Jolly Roger–it is the Jolly Rogering. Currently at the helm of the Prier Prysm, Captain Sbloodstreuth is a standard character type in the romance world, and has led the charge in demanding retroactive credit for the ICH when encountering symbolism he established in older romances, including firm masts, sharp prows cutting frothy waters, and harpoons spearing the breast of a breaching whale. Captain Sbloodstreuth is cousin to his Deputy Head of Section, Jehoshaphat Pornswoggle, Captain of the Butte Pyrate. While the ICH does not currently recognize the need for a Head of Section for gay romance heroes, Captain Pornswoggle does serve as the ICH representative at the Congress Of Characterization, or COC.
Vlad McCullough
Head of Scottish, Vampire, and Scottish Vampire Section

Combining two of the most popular archetypes into one form, Vlad McCullough is over 600 years of age and brings a wealth of experience and visceral intensity to his responsibilities as head of the Scottish, Vampire, and Scottish Vampire Section. The Scottish romance is one of the oldest sub-genres within historical romance, and the vampire romance is among the most popular of the paranormal subgenre. Vlad McCullough, with his authentic Scots heritage, knowledge of every possible tartan and ability to brood romantically without losing his pragmatic air, combined with his dire need to exsanguinate virgins as frequently as possible, influences both venues in the romance genre. Known for his ability to speak fluent Scots-Esque-English and write in dialect without the use of apostrophes, Vlad continues to be in demand as the romance industry thrives.
Morgan Emocoure
Head of Lost Soul Section
Morgan Emocoure is the Head of Section for the Lost Soul heroes: those who are personally damaged, wounded in psyche, spirit, or physical body, or merely emotionally unavailable. One of the original founding members of the International Consortium of Heroes, Emocoure has been missing. Attempts by the other Heads of Section to locate him have been unsuccessful. Recent intelligence suggests that he was last seen at or nearby the home of Laura Kinsale, though sightings near Anne Stuart’s back yard have also been reported. The ICH continues to investigate every lead, and no other Head of the Lost Soul Section will be appointed until Morgan Emocoure’s death is confirmed. Acting as Deputy Head of Section is Lucien Tombé, a former Black Ops agent with a dark reputation and an even darker soul.
